I love Rice Crispy Treats, don’t you? Well, I have a treat for you. :)
I’ve been experimenting a little with Rice Crispy Treats, kinda tweaking them you might say.
I call them Million Dollar Rice Crispy Treats, because I imagine this is how millionaires eat their Rice Crispy Treats.
(How do you like all the bills scattered around? I also envision millionaires with money lying everywhere… okay maybe not millionaires, but billionaires for sure. It’s for the picture people! Work with me here!)
Gooey. Caramely. Sticky. Sweet. Rich. I could go on..
You seriously will not go back to the old way of eating Rice Crispy Treats again!
These are AMAZING!
Million Dollar Rice Crispy Treats
1 stick butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 – 16oz bag mini marshmallows
1 cup marshmallow cream
1 – 12oz box of Rice Crispy cereal (or about 11-12 cups)
Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray and set aside.
Measure out Rice Crispy cereal into very large bowl and set aside.
In large, microwaveable bowl, add butter, white and brown sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir until well combined.
Add marshmallows to sugar mixture and microwave for two more minutes. Stir until all the marshmallows are melted and sugar mixture is completely mixed into the marshmallows.
Add marshmallow cream to the sugar/marshmallow mixture and mix well.
Pour marshmallow mixture over the cereal. Stir until all the cereal is well coated.
Spread mixture into 9×13 pan and press evenly into pan. (Spray back of spoon with cooking spray and use spoon to help press mixture into pan.)
Allow cereal to cool and cut into bars. (Spray knife with cooking spray to ease cutting.)
Store in airtight container.
