Want to know how to make your nail polish last longer?
Okay, but first, I have to show you one of the ugliest parts of me…
Don’t laugh! Okay, you can if you want to. The tan line is fantastic, isn’t it?
Do you want to know what it is?
Drum roll please…
Are you ready?
Here it is…
Apple cider vinegar! Seriously?
Just apply to a cotton ball and wipe over unpainted nails and let dry. I did two coats of the vinegar, and it worked amazingly well. After the vinegar is dry, paint your nails as normal.
This is a two-week old paint job that I did for the Fourth of July.
(Okay, I realize some of the stripes are a little ghetto, but let’s not look at technique here people! It’s the staying power of the polish that we are interested in! Stay focused!)
I thought my nails looked pretty good (from a distance! *ahem*), and this was after two weeks with NO TOUCH UPS!
Are you kidding me!?!
No, I’m not. Pretty cool huh?
These are the colors I used…
So patriotic if I do say so myself!
I spent under $6 dollars for all three colors. Pretty cheap for a long-lasting nail job.
Here are the color numbers…
Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention…
I also did not use any clear topcoat.
Can you believe that!? It’s true.
Just vinegar and polish.
I love simple little tips to make my life easier, don’t you?!
Have a lovely week, and try not to think about by big, fat, ugly toes! I know I may have scarred you for life, and I’m sorry.
Linked to these parties.
*P.S. Just to clarify. This was two weeks of open toe shoes/sandals and no swimming. Just in case you were wondering.
