Back to School with Pillsbury Biscuits!

I hope everyone is back in their groove for the school year.

We are still working on our groove. *Sigh*

Why is the start of the school year so stinking hard?! :)

Well, one thing that makes it easier is having a dinner plan and Pillsbury has us covered.

Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits provide a variety of family favorite recipes, ready in under 30 minutes, that are delicious and have a little twist to help parents keep dinner fun, not boring.

We tried the Grands! Barbecue Cups and they were totally yummy.

Grands! Barbecue Cups! Absolute kid pleaser! My kids could not get enough!

Yep. They are as good as they look.

The kids could not get enough! I would have actually gone back for seconds myself, but alas, there were none left.

Grands! Barbecue Cups

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef, cooked drained (I used pulled pork)
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 can (10.2 oz) Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers refrigerated biscuits
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (3 oz)

In 10-inch nonstick skillet, mix cooked beef and barbecue sauce. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until hot.

Pull each biscuit apart into 2 layers; overlapping both layers, press each into 4-inch round. Place 1 round in each of 8 greased regular-size muffin cups. Firmly press in bottom and up side, forming 1/4-inch rim. Fill with beef mixture; sprinkle with cheese.

Bake at 375°F 13-15 minutes or until edges of biscuits are golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from pan. Serve hot. Refrigerate any leftovers. Makes 8 biscuit cups.

You know, the thing I love about this recipe is that it is so fast and easy. I used left-over pulled pork from the day before so I had these on the table in about 15 minutes. It doesn’t get much quicker than that folks!

  1. Now on to our recipe prep and how to make these deliciously easy mini pizzas for your family. The first step is to wash and chop your veggies; in this case, I used onion, peppers, and a tomato. Next shred Mozzarella Cheese. Press each biscuit into 6-inch round; I used my rolling pin. Place biscuit rounds onto cookie sheet. Top each round with pizza sauce (which I added 1 tbsp brown sugar to for flavor) and veggies. Then add cheese and pepperoni. Bake mini pizzas at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes or until bottoms are deep golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Serve, whole or sliced, while warm. Enjoy!
