Meet Stephanie

Hello, my name is Stephanie Hill, I’m the Lady with the Red Rocker on my porch.  I’m just a lady striving to keep Christ the center of my life, as I try to be more like Him. Even though I may fail, the Lord is always there to pick me up.

I’m wife to my wonderful husband, Doug, the engineer, who can fix anything.  I’m a stay-at-home mom of four beautiful children. I’m a craftaholic. My mind is always going in 47 different directions, and I usually have 2 or 3 projects going at once. I love all kinds of crafts, DIM (do it myself),and decorating my home.  I have also discovered that I really dig photography.  I’m still learning, so please, don’t make fun of my pictures on here!  (Okay, if they are really bad you can.)   We live in a small, patriotic town in western Ohio.  We are super busy with church and school (did I mention we also home-school? crazy I know…).

My goal for this blog is to share with you fun and cool ideas, that I come across, for the family and home.  Hope you enjoy, and Thanks for stopping by!

Will need to add you to my reading list :o)

  2. What a great idea for a cake. I will definitely have to try this for my grandchildren. Moved to northwest Ohio and just love the small surrounding communities. As a fellow Christian, I appreciate you trying to keep Christ the center of your life – my life would be a mess if I didn’t. Every day is a blessed journey.

  3. Thank you for all your ideas, recipes and clever things!! God has given you a gift and you are obedient in sharing what He has blessed you with!!

  4. I love your site. The red rocker, the inviting porch, the Cinnabon Cake recipe!!! We have a common bond! Both homeschool moms, both sisters in the Lord. Saw your cake post on Pinterest, pinned it, and got engrossed in your blog! You have a great thing going here:)

  5. I really enjoy your blog!!! I check it often. I also like your new picture! I might just have to follow you on Pinterest too. :-) Keep up the good work. Greetings to Doug for us.

    • Thanks Jill, glad to meet ya!
Lol! You are so funny! :D

My problem is with my email subscription list. Whenever I do a new post the only ones who receive an email are Doug and myself, and I’ll tell ya, he’s just not that interested! Lol! I’ve tried a few different email subscription plugins, and I’ve had the same results with all of them. I also signed up with feedburner and whenever someone clicks on the icon it says that the email subscription function is not turned on, (which it is turned on on my feedburner account).

It is clearly user error. I only know enough about blog stuff to make me dangerous! I have around 900 subscribers signed up, so I think it has to do with the amount of emails, but for only two emails going out… it’s kind of frustrating that I can’t figure this out. I think there must be away around the number issue, (I’ve even set up the hourly sending limit, and it still is no good) but I’ve yet to figure it out.

Sorry for the long reply! :)

      I love your blog, btw!

  7. I scanned through the comments to see if anyone else had mentioned this, but “Red Rocker” is Sammy Hagar’s handle that he goes by. I thought you were his wife until I came here and saw and read about your “Red Rocker”. Just thought it was quite hilarious. Hope you do too :)

Hope you have a blessed day.

    Love your site,
